In a world of constantly evolving codes and increasing demands on engineers and plan reviewers, Short Circuit, LLC is passionate about making code compliance easier for the industry professionals and improving life safety in the built environment through mentorship, training, and tools.
Who Is Short Circuit?
KRISTINE SULLIVAN, PE
Owner
As a project engineer at an SMEP firm, Kristine designed power, lighting, and renewable energy systems for residential and commercial projects from conceptualization through construction administration. Once becoming the Lead Electrical Engineer for all projects, Kristine was responsible for mentoring design engineers through the design process, developing tools and templates, and process improvements, and performing QA/QC for all electrical design work and submittals. As the Engineer of Record for all projects, Kristine ensured code compliance for electrical deliverables and ensured coordinated and constructable deliverables were delivered on time. By working closely with customers, building officials (AHJs), and other designers, Kristine delivered complex, coordinated, and constructable designs with 5-star customer service from beginning to end.
Later, as a Plan Review Engineer for the City and County of Denver, Kristine honed her attention to detail and expanded her understanding of codes such as the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Codes (such as IECC, IRC, IBC, and IFC) and Local Jurisdiction Codes.
As a licensed engineer with a wide range of design experience, who also has reviewed plans and issued permits as an authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), Kristine can see projects from both sides of the permitting and construction process to improve your workflow, reduce challenges in the field, improve code compliance and safety.

Office Manager
Finn brings his experience as a Floor Manager at Golden Bike Shop to help keep the operations at Short Circuit, LLC on track. His enthusiasm, passion, and loyalty are world class. While he sometimes sleeps on the job, he isn't afraid to speak up when he sees an issue and is very proactive about demanding work-life balance from his team.
In his free time, he loves swimming, hiking, and rolling in the grass.
